エネイダ・マルタのアルバム『Lôpe Kai』のタイトル曲（作詞作曲：Juca De Igado／Guto Pires）がとっても面白い内容なので、説明書きをちょっと写しておこう。タイトルの意味は「Le Pagne est tombé／His Loincloth Has Fallen／腰に巻いたラッパーが落ちた」というのだから笑える。An old man who is dancing enthusiastically fails to notice that his loincloth has fallen. He continues to dance, striking his backside, without paying attention to what has happened. He tells all the youg people that the Gumbé* lights up our smiles and brings us joy.
The song speaks up for life and for the need to live certain moments intensely.

アフリカ文化のなかでダンスがどれほど重要な要素か、なんとなく伝わってくる内容だ。でも伝統曲ではなく、ちゃんと作詞作曲者の名前がクレジットされていて、これは現代曲。
